Symposium
The fifth Global Standards Symposium (GSS-24) convened on 14 October 2024, in New Delhi, India. This
significant gathering brought together esteemed thought leaders from government, industry, academia,
standards developing organizations and the United Nations.
Introduction
The fifth Global Standards Symposium (GSS-24) theme for GSS-24 was aptly titled “Charting the Next Digital
Wave: Emerging Technologies, Innovation, and International Standards”, setting the stage for insightful
discussions and collaborative initiatives aimed at shaping the future landscape of global standards.
The following section of this document summarises the key findings and recommendations for each
symposium session.
