ITU-ABU Pacific Media Partnership (PMP) Conference 2015

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) are jointly organizing the ITU-ABU Pacific Media Partnership (PMP) Conference 2015 which will be held on 25-27 August 2015 at the Government Conference Centre, Beach Road, TATTE Building, Apia, Samoa. The conference is supported by the Department of Communications of Australian Government, and Samoa Broadcasting Corporation. The theme for the event is “Partnering for Broadcasting”. The conference will be preceded by several workshops and meetings that will be of interest to the Pacific Regulators and Broadcasters.

The PMP event provides a platform for the broadcasters and media personnel in the Pacific to share knowledge and expertise to improve and promote broadcasting in the region. The conference will address a number of challenges in content production and new technologies including their plan to go digital with their national terrestrial television broadcasting services for delivery.
