Greening WTSA-24
ITU is working towards the goal of sustainable and climate neutral events in line with the UN Sustainability Strategy 2020 – 2030. We have started by implementing greening initiatives in all our recent events and are planning to systematically integrate environmental and social considerations in future events.
From preserving mangroves, forests and critical habitats to ensuring major international events are as environmentally friendly as possible, the government of India and host of WTSA-24 is committed to responding to climate change through wide-reaching adaptation and mitigation measures. The National Action Plan on Climate Change (NAPCC) developed by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change focuses its action on climate change through eight missions, including the National Mission for Green India.
