Summary:
|
This Supplement will provide a roadmap describing different strategies with regards to their decarbonisation potential such as :
" renewable or low-carbon electricity sourcing / alternative energy supply
" operation of energy efficient ICT goods, networks and services,
" efficiency in buildings and mobility,
" implementation of circular economy principles, including eco-design, repair, reuse, remanufacturing and recycling,
" development of consciousness among end-users of the carbon impact of ICT services, some forms of digital sobriety
" reuse of devices
" cooperation on decarbonisation within the ICT sector and with other sectors of the economy
This work could be performed in cooperation with other actors such as GSMA, GESI, IEA, IPCC, UNFCCC, and the SBTi.
