3.3 Policy instrument for ai principles (adopted by the city)

In relation to Buenos Aires transition to adopting AI across sectors, will be governed by the National
AI Plan, which will focus on the following:

• Generating the conditions for AI development and use in the public sector to maximize economic
impact, with a particular focus on building an AI ecosystem;

• Minimizing the risks of AI development and implementation;

• Promoting the development of talent oriented towards AI; and
• Promoting collaboration within government and with other sectors around AI.

4 Conclusion

Argentina’s AI National Plan is expected to contribute to overall sustainable growth and the
improvement of equal opportunities through AI-based technologies across sectors, positioning
the country as a regional AI leader and also serve as an example for other cities and countries in
Latin America to adopt similar policies to support sustainable urbanization.
