Trading companies play a two-sided role: they import EEE for sale and are also consumers
of EEE that they buy within the country; or they import for consumption. This study does not
estimate the amount of imported EEE by these companies for their consumption.

Processes may involve working out product inventories, e.g., inventory of televisions or
refrigerators in households or retailers' warehouses. Information was gathered from the National
Household Survey (ENAHO) on the inventory of some products in households (P4), exclusively
televisions, cell phones, and PCs, with the following considerations:
                   – Flat-panel TVs: information is reported as the number of households with TVs, so a
minimum of one TV per household was assumed in order to estimate the inventory.
                   – Cell phones: information is reported as the number of households with cell phones and
the number of cell phones per household.
