The BYND2015 Global Youth Summit is a platform for young people to lend their voice and influence decisions at the United Nations on the Future We Want.

Young people from around the world have gathered in San José, Costa Rica to shape the sustainable development agenda in the post-2015 era. Along with some 700 participants meeting in San José, over 3000 young people around the world are logging in virtually to contribute their ideas from 43 hubs or workshops in 25 different countries using a unique crowd-sourcing platform and other social media channels.

  • Online participation: you don't have to be in Costa Rica to be part of the movement. See our offsite locations to join the nearest site near you, or apply to coordinate your own Summit Hub.
  • Onsite participation in the Global Youth Summit in Costa Rica from 9-11 September 2013 is open to youth aged 18-25, if they are sponsored through an ITU Member State, Sector Member, Academia or other ITU partner organization.  For more information, contact: bynd2015@itu.int.
  • Note for ITU Members and Partners:
    Registration for onsite participants in the Summit is being carried out exclusively online by the Member Designated Focal Point (DFPs). Delegates from Member States, Sector Members and Academia members of ITU can contact their DFP to register for the Summit. Access the online registration system (access restricted to DFPs).
