Sustainable Digital Transformation in the Arab Region

The Arab region has experienced remarkable growth and transformation across all sectors with the support of digital transformation. Many cities and governments in the region have launched ambitious smart city plans aiming to creating an inclusive and sustainable digital economy for their citizens. This event explored the latest development and impacts of digital transformation in the Arab region. It also looked at the concept of the circular economy and its role in achieving sustainability in cities.

The circular economy plays a significant role in reducing the environment impacts of technologies. The circular economy concept can be extended beyond the economic sphere to a wider context such as cities and regions, providing a powerful framework for improving their sustainability. This session will examine this latest trend and other related topics such as sustainability passport.
