Session 8: Future Vision Roundtable: Developing and Implementing Sustainable ICT Standards
This roundtable discussion focused on fostering adoption of sustainable ICT standards in light of the outcomes of the Climate Change COP29 and preparations for COP30. Participants engaged in a dialogue on the challenges and opportunities associated with implementing these standards as concrete actions towards achieving the SDGs and other global goals within the next five years. Panelists shared experiences, perspectives, and lessons learned from regulatory compliance, stakeholder engagement, certification processes, and the role of standards in driving continuous improvement and innovation in the ICT sector towards a sustainable future.
