3rd ITU Regional Frequency Coordination Meeting on the use of the VHF band (174-216 MHz) and the UHF band (470-806 MHz), from 7 to 11 May 2018, Panama City, Panama
The 3rd ITU Regional Frequency Coordination Meeting for Central America and Caribbean Region, is a follow-up of the two previous meetings and a very important milestone for the process of regional frequency coordination.
It will take place in Panama City, Panama, from 7 to 11 May 2018.
The Regional Frequency Coordination Meetings for Central America and Caribbean Region are intended to facilitate the process of
transition from analog to Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) and allocation of the Digital Dividend.
The
first and
second
coordination meetings, which took place respectively in Managua, Nicaragua from 8 to 10 March 2017 and in Guatemala City, Guatemala, from 28 August to 1 September 2017, were successful in setting the frequency coordination basis for broadcasting and mobile services.
