A half day workshop on “Fostering Digital Entrepreneurship and Start-up Ecosystems in Montenegro" was organised by ITU in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy of Montenegro on 3 October 2018 in Congress Hall, Avala Hotel, Budva, Montenegro. This workshop was held as an important milestone of the project on ICT Centric Innovation Ecosystem in Montenegro, being implemented within the framework of the ITU European Regional Initiative on ICT-Centric innovation ecosystems, adopted by the World Telecommunication Development Conference 2017 Conference (WTDC-17), Buenos Aires. At the end of the workshop, participants had a comprehensive understanding in developing digital ecosystems, including designing policies, implementation programmes and projects. Furthermore the workshop was a platform for participants to provide inputs to the Digital Innovation Profile of Montenegro which was a high-level current state analysis of a national innovation ecosystem. The Profile provided a comparable measurement of the national ICT innovation capabilities in an international context.
