Summary:
|
The Internet of Things (IoT) is characterized by a massive number of devices, complex and variable network structures, and highly specified and diverse service scenarios, which present significant challenges for IoT management. According to ITU-T Y.4000, the IoT management capabilities can be categorized into generic management capabilities and specific management capabilities. Essential generic management capabilities in the IoT include device management, local network topology management, traffic and congestion management, service management, etc. Specific management capabilities are closely coupled with application-specific requirements of different industries.
Knowledge construction and implementation techniques can enhance the management efficiency and effectiveness of devices, networks and services within Internet of Things (IoT). Utilizing knowledge technologies can more comprehensively mine and extract hidden information from multimodal data collected from IoT devices, networks, and vertical industries. Through the process of knowledge construction and implementation, the massive data can be transformed into multidimensional and multi-layered associated knowledge, which can effectively support the various needs of IoT management along with other AI technologies.
