Summary:
|
With the promotion of renewable energy generation in residential communities, a large number of community users are transformed into prosumers with a dual role of producer and consumer. To maximize the interests of community users, it is necessary to introduce energy storage service for residential community (ESSRC) to centrally manage energy. Furthermore, ESSRC operators can earn the price difference through the difference of spot prices in the electricity market, so as to achieve a win-win situation.
ESSRC is an important part of smart residential communities in smart cities, and a large number of ESSRC operators have entered this market. But the lack of standards could limit the operators' ability to meet rising demand across the globe. ESSRC is based on an ICT-based information management system, so this Recommendation focuses on requirements and capability framework of ESSRC in smart city.
This Recommendation will help to promote the achievement of circular and sustainable smart cities and communities.
The use case of ESSRC is provided in Appendix I.
