Summary:
|
This form pertains to the proposal to create a new work item under Question 12/3: “Economic and policy issues pertaining to international telecommunication/ICT services and networks enabling mobile financial services (MFS)”, on the development of e-commerce through mobile money (and vice versa).
It is proposed to create a new work item to study the impact of mobile money on the development of electronic commerce, particularly in developing countries (and vice versa). Contributions should make it possible to produce a technical paper substantiating the importance of developing and democratizing mobile money for countries in order to not only promote e-commerce, but also diversify the availability of financial services based on mobile technologies accessible from basic mobile phones, in the interests of greater financial inclusion.
