Summary:
|
ITU-T Y.2501 "Computing power network – framework and architecture (formerly Y.CPN-arch)” was released in September 2021.
There are already several organization working for CPN such as SG2, SG11, SG17, and Broadband Forum (BBF). During the Q2/SG13 meeting(March, 2024), some experts proposed that we need to provide a definition of the computing power network, and Q2 is agreed to welcome contributions to provide CPN related definitions, as well as some SGs have also sent liaisons to request a definition of Computing Power Network.
Considering the background, we believe that starting a new work item on terms and definition is necessary. As the leading study group of the computing power networks, ITU-T SG13 has responsibility for developing relevant standards. Thus, we propose to start a new work item on terms and definitions to Computing power network.
