Summary: In recent years, with the scale deployment of 5G networks, the overall power consumption of base station sites shows a significant upward trend and the proportion of shared base stations is rapidly increasing. Under the guidance of future green and low-carbon development goals, it is necessary to establish a more systematic, scientific, and comprehensive carbon emission sharing evaluation system. This Supplement focus on carbon Emission accounting and allocation methods for infrastructure shared communication base station sites, include organization boundaries and identification of emission sources, carbon emission accounting methods and carbon emission allocation Methods. It could effectively facilitate for companies operating shared base stations to undertake the responsibility for their carbon accounting/reduction and promote low-carbon, and high-quality development of the ICT industry.
