Summary: Universal Integrated Circuit Cards (UICC) and telecommunication charge cards may be issued by operators [and other entities] to allow end-users to use cards in connection with various international telecommunication services at appropriate charges for each transaction and have the charges billed to their account. Cards issued in accordance with this Recommendation conform to the appropriate ISO Standards. This Recommendation also reflect the use of EIDs for eUICC for providing [international telecommunication services] based on a numbering resource issued and administered by GSMA. Assignment of global IINs for International Networks is covered by ITU-T Recommendation E.118.1.
