Winning the SDG race: bridging the digital divide by 2030

Advancements in digital technologies have opened global markets creating unprecedented opportunities and driving innovation worldwide. „Digital“ has become a powerful catalyst for progress in climate action, education, hunger, poverty, and in accelerating 70% of the 169 SDG targets. Yet, 2.6 billion people remain offline, missing out on the transformative benefits of universal, meaningful connectivity.

As the world advances toward fulfilling the 2030 Agenda and securing a sustainable, inclusive and prosperous future for all, it is urgent to empower everyone, everywhere to shape their own digital future.

Partner2Connect (P2C), ITU’s multistakeholder Digital Coalition, is a powerful driver of the SDGs. By championing universal, meaningful connectivity and accelerating global digital transformation, P2C serves as a high-level platform to mobilize and announce new resources, partnerships, and commitments from a global community of leaders united in advancing the SDGs through technology.

“Partner2Connect was created to mobilize resources and partnerships for universal, meaningful connectivity. Today, P2C is an action-driven, multibillion-dollar coalition accelerating SDG progress through digital transformation—a beacon of partnership, collaboration, and global leadership.“
