The WSIS+10 High-Level Event was an extended version of the WSIS Forum. It is designed to review the progress made in the implementation of the WSIS outcomes under the mandates of participating agencies, and to take stock of achievements in the last 10 years based on reports of WSIS Stakeholders, including those submitted by countries, Action Line Facilitators and other stakeholders.
The WSIS+10 High-Level Event reviewed the WSIS Outcomes (2003 and 2005) related to the WSIS Action Lines with the view of developing proposals on a new vision beyond 2015, potentially including new targets. This process took into account the decisions of the 68th Session of the UN General Assembly.

Proposal by Chairman of WSIS+10 High-Level Event (11 June): Final WSIS+10 Vision for WSIS Beyond 2015
The Final Briefing on the WSIS+10 High-Level Event was held on 19 May 2014 at the ITU Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
In view of the WSIS+10 High-Level Event that was held in Geneva (Switzerland), 10-13 June 2014, more physical preparatory meetings, as part of the WSIS+10 Open Consultation Process (Multistakeholder Preparatory Platform (MPP)), was held in Geneva between April and June, and registration was necessary to participate in these meetings and the High-Level Event.
Accreditation is required to attend the MPPs and the High-Level Event.
Accreditation is a continuous process. An organization that has been granted accreditation to attend an MPP will normally be entitled to attend all subsequent MPPs and the High-Level Event, under the condition that the status of the entity and/or participant has not evolved since the last accreditation.
The following entities will be automatically accredited
a Member State of the United Nations or of one of its Specialized Agencies;
the European Union;
any entity, intergovernmental organization and other entities that have received a standing invitation from the UN General Assembly to participate in the capacity of observers in the sessions and work of all international conferences convened under the UNGA auspices;
the Specialized Agencies, the IAEA, the WTO, the OPCW and the CTBTO;
other intergovernmental organizations invited by the ITU Secretary-General;
interested organs of the United Nations;
associate members of UN Regional Commissions;
ITU Sector Members, Associates and Academia
Non-governmental organizations, civil society and business sector entities that have physically attended WSIS Forum from 2010 to 2013 (under condition that their status has not evolved since their last accreditation).
Other non-governmental organizations, civil society and business sector entities not yet accredited, wishing to attend the MPPs and/or the High-Level Event, and contribute, need to fill out this form with the required information and send it to wsis-accreditation@itu.int. The deadline for submitting the accreditation application is two weeks before each event; participants who might need a visa are strongly recommended to complete the accreditation procedures early enough so to have sufficient remaining time to organize the visa process.
Please make sure you have read the accreditation process before registering.
Registration for all entities will be facilitated if done by focal point (DFP) of the respective entities. Therefore, we strongly encourage accredited entities to designate a DFP who will be responsible for handling registration of participants via username and password. Your organization needs to have been duly accredited before a Focal Point may be designated.
Designated Focal points: Click below to access online registration form for your delegation (Accessible only via the username & password you have received as a Focal point):
ITU Administration Member States will receive their usual username and password to access the online registration system. ITU Sector Members and other interested accredited entities (as mentioned from a. to i.) are kindly requested to contact sg-registration@itu.int in order to designate a focal point and receive a username and password.
Other accredited non-governmental organizations, civil society and business sector entities (non-ITU members) are encouraged to fill out this form to designate a DFP only once your entity has been duly accredited as indicated above under 1. Accreditation Process. Requests to designate a DFP coming from entities who have not been duly accredited beforehand will be ignored.
For smooth running, registration without going through focal points may still be possible. However, priority will be given to those registered through their Focal Point. Please note that if you have not recently been accredited to an ITU WSIS event, if you are not part of the entities mentioned under a. to i., or if you are not registered through a DFP, you will first be required to complete the questionnaire before your accreditation can be processed.
Then click here to access the open online registration forms:
Each accredited participant will receive an e-confirmation to the email address provided in the registration form. The e-confirmation will be the sole document provided for visa support.
