WSIS: Summit of Solutions |
The
WSIS Souvenir Book "Summit of Solutions" traces the history of the World Summit
on the Information Society from Geneva to the Tunis phase. WSIS Tunis was held
16-18 November 2005 in the vicinity of ancient Carthage. The book conveys the
ambience of the Summit itself along with round table discussions and parallel
events, such as some of the 300 related workshops and seminars along with the
ICT4All Exhibition.

WSIS Golden Book |
The
Golden Book is intended to promote new commitments in the field of ICTs that
stakeholders have announced during the Tunis Phase of the WSIS. Launched in
October 2005, the Golden Book brings together new initiatives, which complement
those already underway and recorded in the WSIS stocktaking database.

In preparation for the Tunis Summit, Tudor Rose, a commercial publisher, and ITU are jointly producing a publication entitled
Digital Reach, which will be published in November 2005. The book will focus on the key elements of building an inclusive, development-oriented Information Society, on implementation of the WSIS Plan of Action and follow-up beyond Tunis. Contributing authors will be invited from among all stakeholders of
WSIS.

The
WSIS Stocktaking is intended to fulfill the dual purpose of providing an
inventory of activities undertaken by governments and all stakeholders in
implementing the Geneva decisions (WSIS Declaration of Principles and Plan of
Action) and of taking stock of the progress made in building the Information
Society. The report has been specially prepared for the Tunis phase of the
Summit, 16-18 November 2005.
