Summary: With the rapid increase in the public usage of electric vehicles (EVs) in the city, more and more EV users put forward high requests for public charging service. Therefore, public smart charging service for EVs is the future development direction, and is an important part of the smart city. Compared with the traditional charging service, public smart charging service has the advantages of highly networked and digitized system, flexible and convenient use and intelligent management of electric power. Public smart charging service will be implemented on smart city infrastructure and it is indispensable for smart city in the future. This Recommendation specifies requirements and capability framework of public smart charging service for EVs, to optimize the EV charging service process and improve the EV charging service experience of EV users.
