ITU-T A.5 justification information for referenced document SMPTE ST 424:2012 in draft F.780.1
1. Clear description of the referenced document:
Name: SMPTE ST 424:2012
Title: 3 Gb/s Signal/Data Serial Interface
2. Status of approval:
Approved
3. Justification for the specific reference:
This standard defines a bit-serial data structure and coaxial cable interface for the transport of signals with a total payload of 2.970 Gb/s or 2.970/1.001 Gb/s. Such an interface is required in a UHD-based system as the video signal between the camera unit and display-unit as well as other devices in the system is recommended to be connected in standard-based ways as defined in 7.1.1.3.2 of F.Med-UHD.
4. Current information, if any, about IPR issues:
None
5. Other useful information describing the "Quality" of the document:
N/A
6. The degree of stability or maturity of the document:
Stable
7. Relationship with other existing or emerging documents:
N/A
