La Recommandation UIT-T G.9701 spécifie une technologie d'accès large bande gigabit basée sur l'infrastructure existante des paires de fils qui ont été déployées au départ pour le service téléphonique ordinaire. Les équipements mettant en œuvre cette Recommandation peuvent être déployés à partir des points de distribution des réseaux à fibres optiques (fibre jusqu'au point de distribution, FTTdp) situés tout près des locaux de l'abonné. La Recommandation UIT-T K.118 contient les informations nécessaires pour assurer la protection d'un nœud de point de distribution (DP) dans le réseau d'accès et les équipements associés dans les locaux du client. Elle comprend des informations sur les exigences d'immunité des équipements, la notation de la protection contre la foudre, les conditions dans lesquelles il est nécessaire d'installer une protection et les modalités d'installation de cette protection. |
