Key Insights

Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT) readiness and maturity assessments were conducted for Lesotho, Timor-Leste, and Seychelles to enhance their cybersecurity maturity levels and support the development and enhancement of their National CIRT.

Additionally, a series of capacity-building workshops focused on incident response, protection of critical information infrastructure, and cybersecurity crisis management in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Guinea-Bissau, Maldives, Mauritania, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates.

Ten CyberDrills were conducted at the global, regional, and national levels, aimed at building the incident response capacity and confidence-building measures of Member States and enhancing their operational readiness to address emerging cyber threats and increase technical collaboration. These exercises engaged over 1,500 professionals from 146 countries.

As part of the 2024 edition of Her CyberTracks, nearly 200 women from the public sector across 45 countries in West Africa, the Western Balkans, and Eastern Europe enhanced their technical and soft skills through a combination of online and onsite training, mentorship, networking, and interactive inspirational sessions. Key highlights included an Incident Response Forum held in Germany and two Regional Forums in Africa and Europe, held in Albania and Ghana, respectively.

Under the Cyber For Good project, 31 Least Developed Countries (LDCs) benefited from targeted interventions providing access to high-impact tools, services and trainings.

Train-the-trainer programmes were held in Malawi, the Maldives, Malta and Morocco on national Child Online Protection awareness and capacity, as well as awareness raising campaigning in Serbia.

Three online training courses for children aged 9-17 years old were released on the ITU Child Online Protection website

Released a joint online self-paced training course ‘ICT Industry on Child Online Protection’ with UNICEF.

Child Online Protection frameworks were drafted for Bahamas, Bolivia, Ecuador, Malawi, and Peru.
