AMS2: Enhancement and expansion of digital-literacy, digital-skills and digital-inclusion programmes, especially among vulnerable populations

Accessible Americas 2024 featured interactive discussions on emerging technologies and their potential to enhance ICT accessibility, with special attention given to the needs of indigenous and rural communities.

A sub-regional seminar “Priorities for Youth in the Digital World: Jobs and Education” focused on raising awareness and sharing insights on digital skills, digital inclusion, and digital jobs for young people and established a platform promoting an intersectional approach to the digital inclusion of youth.

The first phase of the “Managers in ICT Networks in Indigenous and Rural Communities” training program was successfully implemented with a face-to-face bootcamp in Guatemala.

The National Child Online Protection Framework was deployed in Bolivia, Ecuador, and Peru. In addition, Child Online Protection Guidelines were translated into multiple local languages.
