Partner2Connect Digital Coalition

Governance

ITU, in close collaboration with the Office of the Secretary-General’s Envoy on Technology, the UN Office of the High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (UN-OHRLLS), and in line with the UN Secretary General’s Roadmap for Digital Cooperation, is the overall convener of the P2C Digital Coalition.

As the UN’s specialized agency for ICTs, ITU serves as a neutral and impartial platform to coordinate the development of the P2C Focus Areas Action Framework. The P2C Focus Areas Action Framework, will help further identify the key issues driving change across each of the Focus Areas, define specific gaps, and propose high quality interventions, pledges, and policies to fill those gaps. ITU will play a significant role in the mobilization, tracking, and monitoring of commitments and pledges.

The Framework has been developed by four Working Groups, one per Focus Area with the leadership and support of BCG, P2C’s Knowledge Partner. Each Working Group is composed by Focus Area Leaders and participants.

Each of the four Focus Areas of the Coalition has a dedicated ITU resource assigned to it (Focal Point). The entire Coalition is supported by the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), our Knowledge Partner. BCG, a leading global management consulting firm, has brought their expertise, resources, and global network to help develop the Focus Areas Action Framework as well as the Pledging Framework of the Coalition.
