Climate Action: Transition Plans to Reduce the ICT Sector’s Own GHG Emissions

This session will discuss the ICT sector’s commitment to reducing GHG emissions and reporting progress on energy consumption and GHG emissions. It will also outline the next steps the industry can take to transition toward more efficient and sustainable operations. It will explore the best practices and highlight the importance of robust transition plans on climate change mitigation and adaptation aspects, which are critical for achieving the reduction of 45% of GHG emissions by 2030 compared to 2020. Experts will also discuss and promote the development of specific guidance on transition plans of the ICT sector.
