International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is organizing “ITU Asia-Pacific Spectrum
Management Workshop (30 March 2020) and Satellite Symposium (31 March - 1 April 2020)” in
Jakarta - Indonesia.
The events are kindly hosted by Ministry of Communication and Informatics (MCI) – Indonesia.
Objectives and Target Audience:
The workshop aims to bring together senior level staff from policy makers, regulators, Industry and academia for discussions on key spectrum management issues including but not limited to:
- WRC-19: results and implications
- WRC-23: challenges ahead
- IMT2020 (5G): roadmaps
- Satellite communications: new trends and systems
- HAPS: roadmaps
- Future telecommunication networks

Registration: The registration for the workshop and conference would strictly be online
Fellowship: ITU, with support from its partners, is pleased to provide one partial fellowship (covering meals and accommodation for the two ITU events) for each eligible country, subject to availability of funds, with preference to those relevant applicants who would contribute to the assigned sessions of the workshop through country case studies. Applicants requesting fellowships are required to submit their fellowship request forms duly signed by their respective Administrations by no later than 29 February 2020.
Visa: Participants requiring an entry visa to Indonesia are requested to contact their local Embassy of Indonesia well in advance. In order to get the invitation letter for the VISA, please register online and also send the copy of your passport to focal point from the host MCI with CC to Mr Andreas Christiono (
andreas.christiono@itu.int) latest by
2 March 2020.
- BR software: In order to fully benefit from the practical sessions during satellite symposium, all participants must bring their own laptop, on which the ITU BR software related to space services must be installed before the workshop. Administrator privileges on the laptop is required to install the BR software.
