This Case Study was researched and written by Kattya Elizondo and Reyna Úbeda of the International
Telecommunication Union (ITU) with the support of Luis Felipe Vásquez, a specialist in flow analysis
and socio-economic metabolism; Yency Lagos, a cadastral engineer, and geodesist; and Laura
Reyes, a specialist in waste of electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
