Important information on Opening Ceremony
For security and protocol reasons, the opening ceremony for PP-14 will require the collection of passport information* from participants via the registration system. The Host Country, the Republic of Korea, would like to cordially request the cooperation of focal points, and ask that you refer to the below information before moving ahead with the registration procedures.
For security and protocol reasons, passport information* is required for those who attend the opening ceremony of the 2014 ITU Plenipotentiary Conference. The information must be submitted at least two weeks before the opening ceremony. Please be informed that participants who have not provided passport information in advance or those who provide information that does not exactly match the corresponding passport will be unable to attend the ceremony.
To attend the opening ceremony, please take the following two-step procedure: - Signing up: Participants who wish to attend the opening ceremony must request their Focal points to check the box on the on-line registration form stating 'I wish to attend the opening ceremony (20 October)', and input their passport information below.
- Security stickers: On the day of the opening ceremony, participants must bring their passport or resident registration card (for Koreans) and visit the security sticker distribution desk to collect their security stickers. The stickers will only be issued for participants who have signed up in advance, and please note that those who do not possess a security sticker will not, under any circumstances, be allowed into the opening ceremony.
*All information provided will be held in absolute confidence and will be destroyed after the ceremony. The Host Country, the Republic of Korea, will be fully responsible for the collection and management of the provided information.
