In the last few decades, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) transformed many economies on a global scale. ICTs are now affecting many, if not every, aspects of all economic activities. Access to ICTs has become a key priority for policy-makers and businesses. Tech Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and startups have significant impact on economic growth, employemnt and investment opportunities. In addition, they are often the source of innovative ICT-enabled solutions that make a long-lasting impact on global, regional, and national economies. As a results, many governments are now defining their digital agendas and both national and regional broadband plan to support the creation and development of this sector of the economy.
