Correspondence Groups and ad-hocs groups

Correspondence Group for datasets applicable for AI/ML in networks (CG-datasets for AI/ML in networks) was set up by SG13 on 15 July 2022 (SG13 meeting July 2022, Geneva). For more details, please check TD51/PLEN. Updated (currently in force) Terms of Reference may be found at pages 4-5 of TD265-R1/PLEN.

Terms of reference: Under the auspices of ITU-T SG13, preliminary activities will be carried out to provide guidelines on a standardization approach for datasets applicable for AI/ML in networks, including
a) Study standardization requirements of datasets applicable for AI/ML in networks;
b) Conduct a gap analysis of related standardization efforts;
c) Extend the analysis on Large AI models by considering also action models and other foundational models
d) Identify directions for standardization approach for datasets applicable for AI/ML in networks
e) Develop a Technical Report with technical insights and recommendations to ITU-T SG13 for a standardization approach for datasets applicable for AI/ML in
networks.

Output (July 2024) - technical report

Ad-hoc on "Future ICT Evolution for emerging Web Era" (Web3-adhoc) was set up by SG13 on 15 July 2022 (TD23/PLEN). Its Terms of Reference and leadership
were changed in November 2023 SG13 meeting (TD156-R1/PLEN)

Terms of reference: To make a harmonized view for future standardization among participants in SG13 through sharing information and opinions in order to move forward with sufficient guidelines for stimulating standardization activities on new topics and preparing to the Next Study Period. The purpose of the ad-hoc is to:
- exchange opinions and share information on roles of SG13 considering technology evolution in line with the future Web 3.0 era;
- find out a clear direction for future standardization on a holistic view for emerging topics and stimulate related standardization as an input for preparing NSP.

Ad-hoc is anticipated to deliver
- a progress report with a preliminary strategic plan for future standardization with potential work items in SG13.
- Technical Report for “Trustworthy Data Infrastructure for Web 3.0” and
- Technical Report for “Network enhancement for supporting emerging Web technologies”.
