Selected Video of the Demonstration Track

The 2022 edition of Kaleidoscope will include a Demonstration Track for video contributions relevant to the development and widespread adoption of extended realities, as well as new possibilities and associated challenges appearing on the horizon. This track is indented to offer students, academics and researchers a means to share their research and ongoing projects to a wider international audience, using on-line tools.

The demonstrations are expected to focus on applied research related to the topics of K-2022. The subject may range from early research prototypes to mature production-ready systems.

Selection of the demonstrations will be done in a two-step process. First, candidates should describe what they intend to show in an extended abstract (maximum 2 pages, including references). Abstracts must be in English and include the authors’ names and affiliations. They should also conform to the K-2022 official templates and be submitted in PDF format to the ITU Kaleidoscope Secretariat (kaleidoscope@itu.int). The proposals will be evaluated by the K-2022 Steering Committee according to their relevance to the K-2022 theme, clarity, originality, innovation, applicability, and potential impact on people’s lives.

If the proposal is accepted, authors will be requested to submit a video (up to 3 minutes, 50 MB maximum file size, in MPEG/AVI/MP4 format) of the demonstration for final evaluation by the K-2022 Steering Committee.
