Alessia Magliarditi is Programme Coordinator in the Telecommunication Standardization Policy Department of the ITU Telecommunication Standardization Bureau (TSB). She is the TSB focal point for academia and coordinator of the ITU Kaleidoscope academic conferences, the main ITU interface with universities and research institutions. She previously worked as TSB Promotion Officer.
Alessia joined ITU in 2006 working in the External Affairs and Corporate Communication Division of the General Secretariat. She was in charge of external relations, liaising with governments, permanent missions, UN agencies, international organizations, ITU regional offices, and universities. Prior to joining ITU, Alessia Magliarditi worked at the ILO from 2003. She was responsible for external relations with UN agencies, social partners, NGOs and universities, encouraging them to sign partnership agreements with ILO.
Alessia holds an MA in Social Sciences from the University "La Sapienza" of Rome, and an MA in International Relations and Diplomatic Studies from "Lumsa" University of Rome. She speaks fluently English, French and Spanish.
