KUDOZIA Roland, NCA, Ghana

Roland_Kudozia_photo.JPGRoland Yaw Kudozia is Deputy Manager in the Regulatory Administration Division of the National Communications Authority(NCA) for Standards and Numbering. His role in the Division includes administering numbering resources, review of technical and lab documentation for type approval certification for electronic communication devices and drafting of license for electronic communication services as well as attending to clients’ enquiries on regulatory directions for new services. Some of the works Roland has done for the Division includes the development of Type Approval Guidelines for Electronic Communication Equipment, Special Numbering Resources Guidelines and Administrative Framework, re-engineering the Type Approval process from paper-based to electronic, development of technical requirements for Number Management system, among many others. He is member of the national Telecommunication and ICT Standard Group, TC24. Roland has been very instrumental in changing the numbering management and type approval regime since his employment in October 2011.

Prior to joining the NCA, Roland worked with Huawei Technologies SA and Ghana Telecom Co. Ltd as a core network engineer. He has total of continuous fourteen years’ industry experience in telecommunication four which has been spent with the NCA.

Born in June 22, 1978, he received his secondary education in Prempeh College in Kumasi and Continued in Diploma in Telecommunication Engineering in Multimedia University. In 2009 he was awarded Bachelor of Engineering, Electronic and Communication by Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology following the completion of his studies in All Nation University College and subsequently pursued online studies in Technology and Innovation specialising in Electronic Security and Risk Management, November 2011 in Aspen University.
In February Roland took advantage of online programme in   Intellectual Property Primer offered by World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO).
