As Chief Technology Officer, Erick Stephens, supports policy decision and delivers technology relevance and scalable solutions into public sector markets in APAC:
- Aligns IT value propositions to public policies such as: healthcare, education, environment and local social and economic development.
- Promotes a digital agenda on top policy areas such as innovation, security and privacy, technology neutrality, accessibility and interoperability.
Erick participates in the Industry Council of the Open Government Partnership (http://www.opengovpartnership.org/ ) coordinated by the National Information Society Agency of Korea, Center for International Private Enterprise and Microsoft. He is also a member of the World Quality Council for Local Governments, which promotes and facilitates good practices in management systems of government activities.
Before joining Microsoft, Erick has over 20 years of IT experience, both in private & public sector.
He holds an engineer degree in Computer Science and MBA both from ITAM University. Post-graduate courses in e-Government (ITESM), Public Policies (CIDE & Harvard) and Financial Acumen (Insead). He has over 20 years as Professor in ICT, Policies and Innovation courses.
