Guillaume Gérard is a senior data centre expert. He joined the Orange corporate green IT team in 2010 after a previous life in Orange IT architecture for 10 years, following a career as researcher and sysops responsible in the ENST telecommunication engineers’ school. His expertise domain covers both data centres and IT components for the whole Orange group, as well as economic aspects.
He has been working in ETSI as a leader of the ETSI ES 205 200-2-1 standard related to global KPI of energy management in data centres, and has been collaborating with ETSI to define the DCEM as well as the CENELEC to define the EN 50600 series of standard related to operational engineering of data centres.
