The
International Telecommunication Union (ITU) organized the ITU/FAO Workshop on"The Future of Digital Agriculture: Role of Artificial Intelligence", supported by
AgriBITs, a VNU Europe summit. The Workshop took place on
17 June 2024 from
09h30 to 16h15 CEST in
Utrecht, the Netherlands. The Workshop was followed by the 10th meeting of FG-AI4A on 18 June 2024 at the same venue.
The workshop was dedicated to exploring the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence within the agricultural sector. By examining both the promising opportunities and the significant challenges, the event aims to provide a thorough understanding of how AI can revolutionize farming practices. Discussions centered on how AI-driven innovations can enhance efficiency, promote sustainability, and ensure food security.
Target Audience
Participation was open to the ITU Member States, Sector Members, Associates, ITU Academia, and to any individual from a country that was a member of the ITU and who wished to contribute to the work.
