Keith Mainwaring has worked in all sectors of the telecommunications industry - in the academic community (building the UK Joint Academic Network), for a network operator (Telia), equipment vendor (Cisco Systems) and as a consultant (at Logica and independently).
He has been particularly active in the standardisation of signalling interface protocols at the BSI, ETSI, ITU, ATIS and IETF, as well as industry forums such as the ATM Forum. He has assisted the ITU conformance and interoperability programme and written a number of ITU-T handbooks as well as a report on the counterfeiting of ICT equipment. He currently represents Ukrainian National Information Systems.
