Phil Brown​

Phil Brown is experienced in spectrum and network planning for terrestrial broadcast and mobile networks including propagation modelling, planning tool software development and coexistence analysis. He contributed to the spectrum planning for the UK Digital Switchover and has also worked on a range of spectrum activities including Digital Audio Broadcasting, Mobile Television, Wireless Broadband and coexistence studies. Recent work has included looking at DAB reception in vehicles.​​

Søren Christensen​

I joined the Norwegian Communications Authority (Nkom) in 2006 as an engineer with Cabel television as my area of responsibility. Prior to that I have been working for Ericsson AS with SW development, SW testing and standardisation work of mobile phones and exchanges. In 2010 I joined the radio monitoring service of Nkom. Over the last few years I have been involved in DAB coverage measurement and monitoring of DAB-interference.​

Ilham Ghazi​​

Mrs Ilham G​hazi is actually the Head of Broadcasting Services Division at the Radiocommunication Bureau of the ITU, in charge of Terrestrial television and Sound Broadcasting including Plans and MIFR maintenance, and issues relating to the Transition to the Digital broadcasting and Digital Dividends.​

Since 2010 leads and organizes regional frequency coordination meetings on UHF band to assist administrations in planning frequencies for digital television in the Band 470-694 MHz and facilitate the release of the DDs. The last one related to Central America and Caribbean countries and concerned UHF and VHF bands.​

She also has been a Counsellor by interim taking care of SG6 and its WPs from January to August 2018.

Bjørnar Langen​

Bjørnar has worked with radio communication related to broadcast and medical systems since 1998. The last 11 years at NRK in different roles. Section Leader for Broadcast Systems and responsible for the linear distribution systems at NRK until 2016. The last couple of years he has been Technology Advisor and a member of the team working with FM switch off in Norway. During this period, Bjørnar have met radio listeners and seen the practical impact of interference and the listener experience.​​

Roberto Moro, Strategic Broadcast Services Manager, Technology Innovation and Projects, SRG SSR

• 1963 Born in Zurich • 1990 Master of Electrical Engineering ETH Zurich, Communications and Microwave Radio 
• 1992 Master of Management and Production Sciences ETH Zurich 
• 1992 Responsible for project management, EMC design and CISPR compliance for video-audio codecs. 
• 1996 – 2008 Positions in product management for telecommunication and radio systems 
• 2008 – today

o Responsible for strategic planning of FM, DAB+ and DVB-T 
o Responsible for DAB+ rollout, planning guidelines and minimum coverage criterias

​Walid SAMI​

Dr. Walid SAMI is Senior Project Manager at the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), Geneva, with responsibility for co-coordinating studies on frequency planning and spectrum sharing issues. He represents EBU in number of European and International Forums dealing with Spectrum Management. He is Vice Chair of ITU-R Study Group 6 (Broadcasting) and mostly active in Working Parties 6A (Terrestrial broadcasting delivery) and 1A (Spectrum engineering techniques).​

Prior to joining EBU, Dr. SAMI worked in spectrum management and frequency planning of Digital Broadcasting systems at Télédiffusion de France (TDF) and CSA (Conseil Supérieur de l'Audiovisuel) in France. Notable is his 7 years as head of Television Planning Department at the French Broadcasting Authority, where he was in charge of planning Digital Terrestrial Television in France.​

Dr. SAMI received Electrical Engineering Degree from the Lebanese University in 1986 and a Doctorate in Physics from Supelec / Université de Paris Sud in 1991.​

John Shaw​​

Radiocommunication Consultant

​John Shaw has over 40 years experience in many areas of radiocommunications, includng broadcasting, maritime communications and navigation, aeronautical communication and navigation, emergency communications, radio wave propagation and radio noise; also in several areas of telecommunications on including numbering, accounting, and home networking; plus further activities on equipment performance standards and EMC involving CENELEC, CISPR and IEC. ​

John worked in UK spectrum management from 1985 to 2005, first in the Radiocommunications Agency, then part or the Department of Trade &Industry, which was later subsumed into the new UK independent regulator Ofcom. 

Prior to that, John worked in Bahrain, developing their Radio & TV broadcasting services, and before that on UK defence projects. ​

Martin Wright​​

Martin Wright is the chairman of CENELEC TC 210 WG11 and vice chairman of CISPR/H. He is a former chairman of CISPR/I and former vice chairman of CISPR. He has been active in EMC for over 30 years. He is currently a consultant for the EBU and the BBC and is mainly concerned in the development of emissions requirements concentrating on requirements for PLT and WPT systems.​​​
