4G Broadband Wireless Network (mobile WiMax standard IEEE802.16e) for Djibouti has been implemented and officially launched on 19 December by H.E Mr. Ismaïl Omar Guelleh President of the Republic of Djibouti and Dr. Hamadoun Ibrahim Touré, the ITU Secretary General in the presence of all Official, Ministers of the government of Djibouti. The UN representatives were also present. The deployed 4G Broadband Network (Mobile WiMax) has been developed in a very secured environment to protect it against cyber-attacks, for Video-Conferencing, E-Health and e-Education, e-Government etc. In his speech, President Guelleh said: "WiMax is a success story in Djibouti".
