Time and place: Wednesday, 10 October 2018, 14:30 – 17:30 (Room H)
This session on modern policies, guidelines, regulations and assessments of human exposure to RF-EMF will take place at ITU Headquarters (ITU Montbrillant building, Room H) in Geneva, Switzerland on Wednesday, 10 October 2018, from 14:30 to 17:30 followed by the ITU-D Study Group 2 Question 7/2 meeting dedicated to “Strategies and policies concerning human exposure to electromagnetic fields”.
Following the recent ITU-T/D/R activities and the ITU intersectoral response to the public consultation of the Draft ICNIRP Guidelines on limiting exposure (100 kHz to 300 GHz), this session focuses on the derived modern policies, updated guidelines and regulations of human exposure to RF-EMF. Distinguished RF-EMF international experts from various organizations, such as the World Health Organization (WHO), International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), Mobile Wireless Forum (MWF) and ITU, and countries (China) will share their acquaintance as speakers.
The session contributes to the implementation of the Question 7/2 workplan and is addressed to representatives of ministries, regulators, telecom operators, universities and general education institutions, telecommunication equipment manufacturers, research and design institutes, software developers and other interested stakeholders of the ITU Member States, Sector Members and Associates.
