The ITU-MPO Knowledge Exchange on “Fostering ICT Start-ups Ecosystem” is organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) at the kind invitation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MPO) of Czech Republic. The event will take place in Prague, Czech Republic on the 11 December 2019.
This knowledge exchange is being organized within the framework of the ITU Regional Initiative for Europe on “A citizen-centric approach to building services for national administrations” adopted by the ITU World Telecommunication Development Conference 2017 (WTDC-17), that among other objectives, aims at supporting the development of technological start-ups across the region and discussing infrastructure-sharing approaches applied by countries.
In this context this event will provide an opportunity to share practical advice including best practices and challenges mainly from the perspective of start-ups in Czech Republic. These exchanges would be relevant for Europe region public and private institutions directly involved in harnessing the potential of emerging ICT technologies, including stakeholders from industry, academia, regional and international development agencies, development banks and organizations on specific regional telecommunication and ICT matters.
