AIBD/ITU/ABU Regional Workshop on Digital Terrestrial Broadcasting TV and Radio Policy and Transition

​The Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD), the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), and the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) jointly organized “AIBD/ITU/ABU Regional Workshop on Digital Terrestrial Broadcasting TV and Radio Policy and Transition” hold in Qingdao, China on Monday 5 June 2017. The workshop, supported by the National Broadacsting and Telecommunications Commission of Thailand (NBTC) and the Department of Communications and the Art of Australian Government, will be organized one day prior to the Asia Media Summit 2017 ​(AMS-2017) organized by AIBD on 6-8 June 2017.

The theme of this workshop is “Digital Broadcasting Policy and Transition.” It focused on Digital Terrestrial Radio Broadcasting and Digital Terrestrial TV Broadcasting (DTTB) with its objectives are:

• To update about current circumstances of digital broadcasting transition and/or migration in the Asia-Pacific region, and especially ASEAN countries;
• ​To understand regulatory constraints in planning and deploying Digital Terrestrial Radio and TV Broadcasting.
