The International Telecommunication Union (ITU), in collaboration with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Descubreme Foundation and the World Bank, held the Subregional Seminar "Priorities for Youth in the Digital World: Employment and Education" on 16 and 17 May, 2024, in Santiago, Chile. The event took place in person and in Spanish at Dag Hammarskjold 3177, Vitacura.
On the second day of the event, a celebration was held for the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD), under the theme "Digital Innovation for Sustainable Development". The goal was to promote the exchange of experiences and best practices in innovation, entrepreneurship, and skills development as tools for meaningful youth participation in the digital economy.
