It presented discussions on the need for the timely, predictable, and effective information which is much needed by government agencies and other humanitarian actors involved in rescue operations and decision-making processes. During this session the Output Report on ITU-D Q5/2 on Utilizing telecommunications/ICTs for disaster risk reduction and management was presented. The session further highlighted the benefits of CAP and shared best practices and lessons learned on how to create an enabling environment for leveraging CAP.
