The event will focuses on the importance of promoting accessibility policies; motivate policymakers of these policies, regulators and industries; and encourage all the stakeholders concerned to work together with the PCD for the expansion and inclusion of accessibility in all processes: legal framework; public access to ICT; mobile communications; television and video programming accessibility; accessibility of the web, mobile, and public procurement of accessible ICTs. In order to contribute to the development of policies and implementation strategies of ICTs accessibility in the Americas region, the ITU will offer participants a training program to improve and reinforce their knowledge on this subject.
