Girls from three different IT companies (Hinttech, Execom and Prozone) gathered and organized an event on the 23rd of April 2015, called “Be part of IT”, and it was dedicated to all women interested in IT.

IT industry is rapidly developing, and in the same time we are facing with the problem of unemployment in our country. A few of us realized that we could help women in our community by encouraging them to take part in IT by organizing this event. We presented them professions represented in IT sector and our experiences in some of them. We had a couple of lectures during that evening, which lasted for about 10 minutes each, and after every lecture time for discussion. The topics were from different areas which form integral part of IT – programming, testing, marketing and HR.

This event made remarkable impression in our public. The web site we created for this occasion was visited more than 2000 times. We gathered more than 400 likes on ourFacebook page. Our regional TV station “RTV Vojvodine” made a nice story about us.

We have plans for future to continue organizing events like this one which are dedicated to encouraging women to find their professional future as well as themselves in IT.
