Ariel LECCA graduates as an electronic engineer from the ENSERB, Bordeaux France. He begann his carreer (1983) in the EMC domain at Alcatel-CIT in the telecommuncation industry (central telephone switches). One of his tasks was to develop the EMC laboratory and to improve and validate these equipments in EMC. He also begann to work in the standardization domain in relation with France Telecom (CNET). After six years, he joined the automotive industry endorsing the EMC reponsability in Magneti Marelli (automotive equipment manufacturer). He was in charge of EMC both in the conception (developpement of conception and lay-out rules for equipments) and validation phases (Internal EMC validation laboratory and support during vehicle manufacturers EMC tests). During this period (1989-2000) he took an active part (participation and technical contributions) in standardization as an expert in both ISO/TC22/SC3/WG3 and CISPR/D/WG1 and WG2 international EMC working groups. He is know since 2000 in the PSA Peugeot Citroen group, leader of the vehicle EMC activity (14 people). The main areas of his EMC team are advance of phase activities (conception rules, risk analysis, EMC simulation), internal EMC specifications, vehicle EMC validation and homologation (2 vehicles EMC chambers), national and international standardization. He is the chairman of ISO/TC22/SC3/WG3 for two years, still involved as an expert to CISPR/D activities and was one of the ACEA representative at the ad-hoc working group in Brussels for the revision of the EMC automotive directive (2004/104/EC).
