Remote Use cases for Unified Diagnostic Services |

Diagnostics of Electronic systems on Motor vehicles have developed from a variety of proprietary solutions through a series of standardisation efforts to what are now described in ISO 14229 as Unified Diagnostic Services.
It is likely that since this standard is based on what vehicle manufacturers already do that this will provide the framework for diagnostic implementations for many years and on a variety of communication protocols.
In communication terms a �service� delivers specific functionality across a communication link. This presentation describes how particular high level functions could be implemented remotely using some of the described services.
